B&B La Capresina

We loved how safe and secure the apartment felt. We also enjoyed the room layout. It was nice to have our own beds. We also loved our host, Maria. She was so sweet and told us all about Capri where she is from, and about Sorrento, giving restaurant recommendations and help with transit. She also prepared us breakfast, and even was so kind to clean up our room after we left it a huge mess since we were in a rush to leave. The apartment was very clean and really made us feel at home.

The only thing was that at night, it got very cold. We were provided with extra blankets but we were still a little chilly. However I think this may be a seasonal thing.

We loved the owner of the property as she ensured that we were comfortable at all times. She provided us with a yummy breakfast each morning and would tidy our room. She gave us amazing advise on which restaurants we should go to which was super helpful as it is easy to get stuck in tourist trap places and spend more than you should. We are very happy with our stay and would come back again in the future!

There was honestly nothing we didn’t like!

We had a wonderful stay at La Capresina. Our host Maria was a joy, full of tips and suggestions, even for other cities in Italy which we have followed and been thrilled with.

The location was good. Very close to the train station and the main Sorrento town.

The owner is very controlling and wouldn't even give u water other than when served with breakfast. She will keep the kitchen locked. I asked for water 1 night and she got annoyed and lied and told me that i told you have to get your own water. You cant drink a glass of wine in the house. You cant leave the clothes to dry outside. You cant wash any thing in the house. Too many rules to follow.

Bed mattress old-literally hit bottom boards when turned over. Balcony too hot and not private so couldn’t use it-main issue was with the owner-see other comments

It had an elevator as it was on the 5th floor. It wasn't far from the central area and the train station.

The hostess Maria does not like sharing her home. She is very impatient and fussy about everything, everything has to be exactly how she tells you when you first come in. She is not friendly and also very cheap with the breakfasts. She also made me feel very bad about asking for the loan of two forks so we could eat our Asian noodles in our room. She got angry and told me that it wasn't in her contract to provide equipment.

We had a wonderful stay at Maria’s B&B. Maria went out of her way to make us feel welcome including a lovely welcome gift which we really appreciated. Location of b&b is fantastic, close to train station and within walking distance of all the sights of Sorrento. Great breakfast. The room was really comfortable and had a lovely balcony too. The bathroom had everything we needed. Maria gave us lots of great recommendations for restaurants and day trips. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Sorrento!
