Rye Windmill B&B

We had a fantastic stay at the Rye windmill. The room was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good and we were well catered for with vegan and vegetarian options. Toby made us feel very welcome and gave us some very helpful info on local places to eat. The windmill is in a great location and a few minutes walk from the town.

Lovely staying in a windmill! Location was excellent. Parking included was brilliant. Hosts were lovely and so welcoming.

Lovely BnB! Very welcoming owners, superb & quiet location, comfy beds, super clean, really nice & spacious bathroom and an amazing breakfast! Bonus is the cosy lounge with its honesty bar. Also, I liked the idea to encourage guests to separate their rubbish and recycle where they can (or feel like). And, yes, people are asked not to use their mobile phones whilst having breakfast... Love it! Despite the fact that this BnB has 10 rooms it has a very homely feeling, like any good BnB should have!

The view from my window towards the car park wasn't the most exciting thing, but it didn't matter, as I spent every day exploring the beautiful surroundings. However, there is one niggle I always have with most British BnBs... and that is the Tea-Tray. Personally, I would prefer if they all disappeared and instead there was one *decent* coffee machine in the communal area, that brews a real coffee and not some instant "black water", with some real full-fat milk instead of UHT half-fat "white water"... In a place like the Windmill I wouldn't have a problem to get out of bed and walk to that coffee machine in my pyjamas...! But I guess the would mean to change the habits of an entire nation... -)
