It met our needs fully. Great location and information re places to eat. Well equipped apartment. It was very spacious - no issues at all

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay here in September, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. We could not have been happier with the apartment -- roomy, clean and bright, away from the tourist crush in the Ribeira district, but an easy stroll to the metro station. We definitely felt like we got a more accurate picture of the city, and we loved the neighborhood with a great corner cafe, park and shops just a block or two stroll away. We wish that we could have stayed longer! (We certainly made use of the luxurious bathtub) Our only regret is that we were unable to meet our hosts, who were most gracious.

Everything, it’s big beautiful place with more than everything you need . Amazing location as well.

All was perfect

Your Avant-Garde Getaway is a gem! First of all, Paula and Cristina are wonderful. The only downside is I arrived a day after my husband and did not get to meet them as our schedule did not coordinate. He told me they were the best and explained every detail about the apartment and gave many recommendations. Anytime we reached out they responded very quickly and were very helpful. Second, the apartment was spotlessly clean! Third, the bed is super comfy! Fourth, it is extremely well stocked! Even having an iron which is a rare find and I needed one. The decor is fantastic. Lots of green plants, eclectic decor (very cool tractor table, etc) and very modern. As a welcome extra, they even provided a carafe of port and a couple of Pastel de Natas, which we really enjoyed. The apartment is in a great location near the very low-key Marquês metro station, and this made it very easy to get around. Perfect stay!

There wasn’t much not to like. I wish I had the opportunity to have met Cristina and Paula in person! Next time!

A beautiful and unique apartment.

The unit advertised one bed plus a sofa bed in the living room. My cousin and I never share a bed so we always look for 2 beds. The rather short leather sofa had no linens and did not pull out into a bed. We both had covid and this became an issue. We contacted the owners and they responded as follows. (outrageous!) They tried to visit but we were sick and it was too late. Hello Catherine, you have booked for 2 people and then we assume that only the bed is needed. If the couch is needed, that must be booked and paid extra. If the couch is needed for the second person, we charge a one-time fee of 20 € for the extra bedding. If another person is added (i.e. 3 persons) this person has to pay 20 € per night. The couch has been converted to a bed and that needs to be communicated beforehand because it takes some time to set up. The couch bed must then remain built up during the whole time.

The overall vibe of the spacious appartment was really good. The owner took care of everything: toys, parasol, beach towel...you name it :).
