Decor very tired and battered

It is a nice house which can accommodate a lot of people if they are prepared to share rooms. The beds are very comfy and the living area is cosy. The main bathroom has a great shower. We couldn’t use the top floor shower as it was switched off unfortunately. The enclosed patio area was good for our dogs. Issues I raised were dealt with efficiently by the agents

There was a strange lack of crockery and cutlery which I reported to the agents. Hopefully it will now be properly stocked. Although it made for a cosy stay, the thermostat was not operating properly and the ground floor was at 25 degrees so we had to sit with the window and patio door open. Parking was not available for the first day, so we had to leave one car at relatives, there was one space the second day and two spaces for the remaining 2 days. I believe the neighbouring houses are also holiday let’s, so it’s clearly a case of who gets there first. Our requested cot was not present on arrival and we had to wait a day for one to be delivered.

Very responsive hosts. We were in a pickle having been left in the lurch by another host and Firoz had a big, beautiful townhouse available that we booked just a couple of hours before arriving. It was easy to get there and easy to get in. Brand new house, nicely furnished and with the smell of fresh paint still in the air. Comfy beds, warm and thick carpet underfoot.

Unfortunately, the house wasn't *quite* ready for guests. 1. The washing machine had its first outing with us and flooded the kitchen. Plumber came the next morning (very friendly and cleaned up well after himself) and it was a manufacturing problem with the unit. We weren't able to use it. The hosts came by to apologise, bring us new towels and make sure we were okay 2. The top floor bedroom had gorgeous full length windows. Unfortunately, no curtains. So when the sun came up, the room was flooded with light, so everyone in the room was up at 5am. 3. The pile on the carpet was so thick, one of the doors wouldn't close. 4. There was no cooking utensils in the house (though the host directed us to an adjacent building they owned and we got some within a few minutes)
