Summer Haze - Omaha Holiday Home

The location was great! Just a short drive away from major attraction sites, but secluded and quiet, with an outdoor spa looking out to a lovely view. The house was exactly like in the pictures, perfectly clean. You can tell the house is well looked after. Last but not less important, Brenda (host) was great and very kind.

I think with the summer heat, an air con would be an advantage.

Small but very comfortable house, had everything that we needed. Located in a quiet spot, surrounded by fields but only a few minutes drive away from Omaha beach, blueberry farm and pizza garden, and of course Matakana. Spa pool was well maintained.

Beautiful home, great location . We had a wedding at the farmers daughter and the accommodation was just up the road a 2 minute drive away at most. Perfect location to omaha beach, point wells, Matakana and Warkworth just a drive away, 10 minutes at most. This place had everything you need for a comfortable stay, a home away from home. Perfect outdoor area with a beautiful view. The location is stunning, nice and secluded. We could hear morepork hooting at night. The shower had great water pressure , and you could use the hot tub if you wished. Grounds were immaculate. A beautiful property and suited my family perfectly for the weekend. We would stay again and recommend this place to all our friends. Thanks for having us

We have no negative comments about our stay or this beautiful home, as everything was perfect. I would just say Instructions to access property off Jones Road could have been clearer. I only say this as we arrived after 8pm and Google Maps tried to take us to the neighbouring property as the accommodation is off a long driveway. Once you go up the long drive way, you do go past a “street sign” labeled Sutton st , continue up the driveway further and you’ll see the accommodation to your right . We did think we had gone the wrong way and had turned around at this sign and headed back to jones road, rather than continuing up the driveway. We had read on the previous review that they found cleanliness to be an issue, the property was clean however when doing the check off the property for any left behind belongings on check out we did find food rubbish , empty Easter egg rubbish underneath the beds. The vac cleaner was also VERY difficult to use on this carpet, proving difficult to vac before we left and during the stay. Other than that absolutely no qualms and these 2 comments did not affect our stay at all. Thanks for the beautiful property

- fabulous location. 5 mins to Omaha Beach, 5 mins to Matakana and beautiful views of the estuary. Very quiet. - great deck with outdoor seating and dining - decent kitchen, equipped with a good range of appliances. - spacious living area with large tv on the wall - 2 decent sized double bedrooms. Might feel tight for 4 people. But good for 2 friends or a couple.

- cleanliness was a bit of an issue - the hot tub was filled with sand on our arrival and the instructions weren’t clear on how frequently it needed cleaning. We found a lot of hairs around the place too - on the bathroom walls and in the shower. - we reached out to the property managers of the place when we arrived as we weren’t happy about the cleanliness and needed clarification and they never replied. - the price is too high for the overall quality and experience of the place. - we stayed during peak summer and we asked if fans could be supplied and they refused. We brought our own, but not ideal when you’re staying in humid conditions. There is a decent breeze but the 2 bedrooms suffer a bit from the heat.
