Cozy room in house at Airport & Highway

I love the neighborhood, and the room was very clean and cozy! The host was friendly and kind. I had no issues, and I would rent again as well in the future!

L'hôte, vraiment très accueillant, disponible et facile à la discussion. A la fin des 3 jours, j'ai eu l'impression d'être passé voir un ami. Dans un endroit calme, reposant et proche de l'aéroport surtout quand St Louis est la dernière étape et centres d'intérêts rapidement accessible avec le réseau routier et les avenues de cette ville.

The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made my stay very pleasant. I really appreciated the secure parking available in the backyard and the calm, quiet neighborhood. The bed was a highlight—it was both very comfortable and spotlessly clean.

While the room had a cozy atmosphere, it was decorated with many small items. This created a bit of a challenge as there wasn't much free space to place my own things.

I was on the bottom floor. The space was big enough for me. Host was very nice. He did a short walk around of my room and bath. The host did offer me coffee one morning. Price for 2 nights was a good price.

The parking situation is awful. Very narrow and little space to drive and park. I would have preferred street parking. A couple of the doors only open part of the way. The porch door scrapes because of the house settling. So it only opens half way. It's a must you take off your shoes. I even got told as I walked through the kitchen to go and take off my shoes. He wasn't mean or rude, but very particular. Even though he said I could wear shoes inside the bedroom. The whole floor is hardwood. Why the rugs all over that don't match either, I'm not sure? There is a big area rug on the porch and kitchen. Then a long one running down the hall and another small one right in front of the bedroom door. None of those matched. Didn't bother me, yet i found it odd. I wouldn'thave to take off shoes if there weren't rugs to ruin. There is no porch light. So if the motion light outside turns off, you can't see anything on the porch. So unlocking the door is hard at night ... I'm taking that as he doesn't like lights on unless needed... it says on a paper in the room, when you leave the room to turn the lights off. Now I do this at home when I walk out of a room, but that's why i was thinking only if a light is needed it should be on. The host said he goes to bed at 9pm. So I sorta felt like I had a curfew. His room was at the end of the hall from mine. The kitchen is tiny. He does allow a little lamp to be on at night so nobody runs into anything and can see the way to the bathroom. Can't cook if you wanted to because the table is in the way. It's fairly dark in the daytime in there. One small window covered by a painting. I'm not sure why 1 bathroom shower doesn't work and the one with the door that won't even open halfway is the only usable shower. Which the shower head is jacked up. Even when the shower part is off, cold water comes out the shower head while hot comes out of the faucet.
