La perla di tufo

Clean, fantastic location!! Everything was accessible and loved the cave room

If you want to experience authentic Matera vibe than you should definitely stay in La perla del tufo. The apartment is huge, walls and ceiling built from limestone (tufo), with beautiful interior design. Nothing is missing here, super clean, perfectly located and free parking is a huge bonus if you are driving to Matera. Roberto, the owner, was a star of the day. Besides his limited knowledge of English he managed to explain to us everything that we needed to know. If we ever come back to Matera we will definitely stay again in La perla del tufo. Thank you Roberto!

Almost everything. Roberto, the owner, is so great. Even we could not communicate in English but we understand each other. He is so helpful. It is 40 degree outside but it is very cool and comfortable inside. You do not need air-conditioned. The location is perfect! You can park the car in the facility and walk around the city. I strongly recommend.

Perhaps the light in the badroom could be brighter. So we can make up.

It was nice to deal with the owner, Roberto, instead of an agency. The accomodation is good, and in an excellent location just a few minutes from Sassi. Roberto was very helpful…he met me at the agreed time and helped me park my car (nearby, very close). From the outside (street view) you might wonder what you have booked, as it looks like a garage. But looks can be deceptive: inside is exactly what you see in the photos. Bizarre, but no complaints, and thanks again to Roberto.
