1 bed penthouse apt in Calahonda

The apartment was situated a long distance from the coast, not a walking distance. The apartment was a brilliant one but was let down by several easy rectified shortcomings. The bath with shower attachment was useless. The shower head could not be adjusted and so the water went onto the taps and nowhere near anyone standing in the bath. You had to hold the shower head in one hand and use the other hand to wash. completely useless, and in the hot weather people like to shower not bathe. The bedroom curtains could not be closed without the curtain rail becoming detached from the wall, consequently, we had to sleep and dress with the curtains open. There was no microwave oven, and the television was only for Spanish speaking viewers. When we arrived we could not open the garage doors, it was only when we were approached by a Spanish resident who told us there was now a key pad to open the garage door.

All of the above, it would have been nice to have reclining beach chairs for the apartments balconies. It was a bit or a treck down stairs/lift to sun bathe by the pool. The water in the pool did not look clean and clear, although on the latter part of our stay the filters started working. There was no bowl in the kitchen sink, and no plug for it either. There was a dishwasher but most people like to wash up things used for snacks etc. All in all, a great pity, for just a little more care the apartment could have been fantastic.
