Size and equipment is exactly what older couple travelling without childern needs. Clare was do kind and booked for us table in Stone Inn - nice Inn with fantastic atmosphere, very good meal and friendly people just minute from Old Chapell. We used this place as base camp for Hadrian Wall visits.

Loved this place Well equipped cottage, with comfy bed, nice shower with plenty of storage. Lovely small garden to sit out at front. Good WiFi. Set in a nice quiet location with friendly locals. Very pretty cottage from outside. Clear instructions and friendly owners. Great setting for visiting different areas.

To be honest really liked everything. Shared parking with neighbours bit of a non starter as always full but able to get off street parking easily. Minor issue with toilet reported and got resolved.
