"Fabulous location , glorious weather , lovely cottage , would highly recommend."

9.0

The property was in a fabulous location easy access to walking around Amble . The Cottage was beautifully equipped and looked fresh and modern . The balcony was a superb sun trap and provided views across the estuary. The outside space was also good and dog friendly. The owner thoughtfully left a cake and scones which was a nice treat after a long journey.

We were very fortunate in having hot weather during our stay ,but we felt the bed was on the small side and the duvet was very warm making sleeping a bit uncomfortable. It was classed as a large double , but maybe as we are used to a super king we thought it was a bit small.

"A lovely place to stay in our favourite UK holiday spot."

10.0

There was a welcome basket waiting for us which contained high quality snacks plus scones with jam and cream. And a bottle of Prosecco! Went down very well after a 4 hour drive! The accommodation was very comfortable, warm and plenty of hot water. Close to excellent fish restaurants and, bonus, just a minute’s walk from the fabulous Alliance fish counter on the harbour.

We felt the kitchen kit would be improved by a few more serving dishes, bread knife and a teapot. But these are minor things because everything else was very good. Also the bathroom was adequate but would definitely be a little cramped if there were 4 people staying (especially in the morning “rush hour”) and there was no shelving for toiletries.

The view was lovely and the location close to small beach was great.

The bathroom was very small and the steps were awkward.

I was very impressed with the property, great location and well equipped. This cream scones on arrival were welcome surprise!

The second bedroom was a bit tight on space, but overall manageable

"We'll be back!"

10.0

This was our first visit to Northumberland but it definitely won't be the last. We loved everything about the property. Location, comfort, cleanliness, facilities. It's in the perfect location right on the harbour, offering excellent views over the estuary with all the activity of the working harbour to watch - from the delightfully cosy balcony it's even better. Our two little shih tzus loved the little beach. Everything is on your doorstep. There is a wonderful fish and chip shop is just at the end of the street. All the restaurants and pubs serving delicious food are close by. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Thank you Jen and co. (The delicious sweet bakes went down a treat) x

Having to leave and come home!

"Lovely quaint little property in a wonderful location."

10.0

Location is absolutely fantastic a short walk to all the shops pubs and restaurants in Amble plus the views from the upstairs balcony across the harbour and all the way up the Coquet River towards Warkworth Castle are amazing.

To re-iterate an earlier reviewer I would have preferred a washing machine rather than a dishwasher, as the property is only small and suitable for an absolute maximum of 4 people, it would be more appropriate.
