The Aviator's Attic - Luxury City Centre Retreat

Perfect location, close to station and city centre

Great apartment for our 3 day stay in york,close to all amenities definitely stay again.

Location was great, And quiet

Bed could of been firmer but thats a personal thing,

Location is amazing, it was so easy to find and get about York for sightseeing. The complex was quiet and very safe, at the time of our visit there was work going on at the train station and you would never have known because we heard nothing. We had everything we needed, it was modern, clean and very comfortable.

There is nothing to dislike about our stay.

Beautifully furnished, can’t get much better location wise. Building feels very safe and secure. Bed was lovely to sleep on and the smart TV in the living room made us never want to leave! Check-in instructions were excellent and very easy to follow. Shower very spacious, bathroom in general very comfortable to use, we had an amazing stay and would return again and again for our trips to York :)

Only very nit picky things, maybe a few extra bits for longer stays. But we stayed for a week and managed okay :)

The flat is in a brilliant location, less than 5 minutes from the railway station and there are some great bars and eateries in immediate proximity plus all major sights in the city are in comfortable walking distance. It’s a modern apartment in a relatively large gated complex but surprisingly peaceful and the bedroom has very effective blackout curtains. In general the flat is well equipped, with a good sized bathroom and decent kitchen facilities. On hotter days the flat did get very warm although the provided floor fan did help make the temperature a bit more bearable. The communication and pre-arrival directions from the owner were very good and easy to follow. Overall we had a happy and comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this property.

A few minor changes could improve this property from very good to excellent. It would be nice to have a drying rack for washing up and a tea-towel provided so that we didn’t have to use the dishwasher. An oven glove would also have been useful. We didn’t do a huge amount of self-catering but having these available would have made what we did so much easier. We also felt that the number and size of the bathroom towels was a bit on the mean side for a one week stay - perhaps 2 bath towels per person would be better for longer visits?

Everything - it was based inside a new, modern complex and was really well maintained.
