Authentic Desert Camp - Al Wasil

Saeed's Authentic Desert Camp was the crown jewel in our Oman vacation. The camp is beautiful while still being comfortable and an authentic Bedouin experience. The landscape surrounding the camp is stunning, and the camels are a real treat to interact with. The camel excursions were a lot of fun, and they are just beautiful animals that are well loved at the camp. The meals were home cooked recipes from Saeed's own family, and they were absolutely delicious. Saeed was an amazing host, and was extremely accommodating of our last minute schedule changes, staying contact with us until everything was settled. The camp staff was also top notch, friendly, and extremely punctual with pick ups and drop offs. The best part was Saeed's own stories about Bedouin food and culture, and he was conversational about just any topic. We highly recommend staying at this camp, we are looking forward to coming back some day.

Nous avons mis longtemps à choisir un Desert Camp et sommes très satisfait de notre choix. Tout est parfaitement bien organisé. Le niveau de confort est tout à fait à la hauteur compte tenu des conditions et de l'endroit. Nous remercions tout particulièrement Said pour nous avoir permis de vivre une expérience désert inoubliable.

Il faut répéter et s'entrainer un peu plus pour les denses du soir) ahah :-) Sérieusement, tout est parfait. C'est un magnifique Desert Camp!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt mit allem Komfort und konnten Dank Said tief in das Wüstenleben eintauchen. Said führt das Camp mit sehr viel Liebe und Herzblut und ist ein außergewöhnlicher, herzlicher Gastgeber. Alles ist mit sehr viel Liebe und Achtsamkeit ausgestattet. Das Dunebashing zum Sonnenuntergang unbedingt empfehlenswert. Ein Abenteuer! Jederzeit wieder.

Niente tutto fantastico

This was an unforgettable stay and should be part of everyone's Oman itinerary! The host was fantastic—extremely kind, professional, and he shared fascinating stories about his life and family background. The home-cooked food was some of the best we had in the entire country. We loved the authentic feel of the camp and the activities like camel riding and dune bashing, which gave us a much deeper understanding of the desert. The sunrise and sunset were simply unique and breathtaking.

There was nothing I didn't like about the stay itself. One important tip for future travelers: make sure to double-check the meeting point instructions! I made a mistake and clicked on the camp location in my GPS instead of the meeting point, which was completely on me. Just follow the host's specific directions for the pickup/meeting and everything will be perfect.
