Skool House Retreat - 9 bedroom option

Size of building and outside area. Kitchen was mostly well equipped.

Not very clean. Bedding in smaller half of the let was barely sufficient for warmth and comfort. Several toilets did not lock properly. You need some more cereal bowls.

Location is great for exploring North Norfolk. Great walks from the door of the house. Converted School building is well decorated and fun to stay in. 2 well appointed kitchens for catering for a large group and loads of good sized bedrooms and living space.

Some of the mattresses are a bit soft.

11 of us stayed here for a birthday celebration. Plenty of rooms to choose from. The property is huge and never felt crowded even when we were all mucking in with cooking. Kitchen stocked with everything we could have wanted. It’s not too clear on booking but there are 2 houses, each one with its own kitchen and all facilities. We had both houses so some of us were separate from the others for sleeping (different entrance doors from the outside) but absolutely no problem for us. We had a brilliant stay and would book again.

If I had one complaint it would be not all bedrooms had mirrors so for ladies (and some men of course) hair styling/straightening etc is done blind running between bedroom and bathroom for the mirror. Not ideal but a very easy fix

The area was good, the size of the house and halls is good!

During our stay on 17th May 23 there were lots of issues with dirty items, cooking tins not been cleaned and put back in the drawer! windows with huge cobwebs and flies stuck to them these were easily reachable and had been there a long time! the bedding is old and stained and the quilts were torn! there was thick dust on the floor in a couple of the rooms! no lampshade on bedside lamp! the bunkbeds in one room had a long screw sticking out that was supposed to be holding the ladder on! the freezer was full of ice and hadn't been cleaned in a while! Dirty stained net curtains! The drinking glasses had to be washed before we could use them! there was more but to much to list! you should be aware the house and halls are not connecting inside to each other, we were a family of 14 and thought it was connecting, so we were separate from some of our family! If it had just been a couple of bits it wouldn't have been a problem and i wouldn't be writing this now, but the list just went on and on!!!!! Its a shame as this could be a lovely property holiday accommodation!

Perfect base to explore and so many interesting things to see. House perfect for a large family gathering,very clean,warm and comfortable. We all had the such a great break with family from New Zealand and Spain,probably going to book again

The Weather but sadly can’t change that!

Great conversion from an old school to a super comfy self catering accommodation . We had a great time . The place is easy to find and with the old playground used as the car park is so easy to unload all your things .

Wasn't anything we didn't like . I think the outside isn't quite finished yet but it does not effect your stay .
