The location is really dodgy, even though it’s close to the centre. After 8 pm, we didn’t even go out onto the street because it was scary – it stank of weed, there were loads of shady characters about, and someone was constantly shouting at night. We didn’t feel safe at all. When we arrived (well after the earliest check-in time), it turned out that someone was already staying in our room by mistake, so they put us up for the night in another very old room where there wasn’t even room to walk and the front door was very hard to open. The entrance hall itself is very old; it reeks of rotting wood and urine. The steps are very steep and slippery; getting up to the third floor was a real ordeal. In our room, we found only one plate and one spoon. Our first experience of checking in really spoiled the whole thing – we waited for thirty minutes, rang the owner, he was sorting out the room, and all the while we were standing in the entrance hall with a pile of luggage after several flights. The room was a huge disappointment and absolutely not worth the money. I’d advise looking for another place.
