What breakfast?

On arrival I vibrated the owner and she was expecting me to send her copies of passport to complete verification. Unfortunately I was unable to do this. Luckily she decided to come herself and show me where the keys are kept, the code to unlock the box and how to get in. She did not come upstairs to show me the room and was not very pleasant.

The property is very close to the train station, very clean and perfect to stay.

Location: 3-4 minute walk from Train Station. Close to beach and shops. Apartment is overall nice with adequate furniture and kitchenware to cook, make coffee or tea (must supply your own Nespresso or teabags), and wash clothes (must buy your own detergent).

I’m an older single traveler and this is my 7th trip to Italy, and my first unpleasant experience, which made it sting even more, as I find Italians usually hospitable and friendly. Lorenzo was curt and impatient with me on WhatsApp if I asked a question that he felt he’d already answered. When I arrived, the code to the key box did not work, which necessitated his having to drive over (it’s a very small town) to help me. He was clearly pissed off about such an inconvenience, and then blamed me for not putting in the correct code! I’m old enough to be his mother— how would he like his mom to be treated in a foreign country? I had just come from hiking 4.5 hours on the Cinque Terre trails and was exhausted. Rather than offer to help me carry my suitcase up the first set of stairs to the lift, he just left on his motorcycle. Although the place was ok, there was no WiFi info or instructions; I was only given one set of towels for a 4 night stay; I had to go to the store to buy my own Nespresso for the machine; I had to buy my own laundry soap(!)— and the toilet paper reminded me of traveling in Russia 15 yrs ago… because of Lorenzo’s demeaning attitude towards me I avoided contacting him as little as possible. After I checked out, I offered to write him my concerns for improvement and he agreed, but it’s been 24 hours and no response, so I assume he is not interested in constructive feedback. No, I would not stay here again!

Fantastic location close to everything, nice breakfast places included. The apartment is very clean and curated, you receive complimentary bottles of water upon arrival and the kitchen is fully equipped (moka & coffee as well) There's a TV with internet and all the apps you could wish for for a rainy weather. All in all, a very nice stay, highly recommend👍🏼
