The staff were fantastic. We could stroll along the sea just outside the room. The beautiful sunset was a bonus.

The personal was very welcoming and super friendly. The rooms are beautiful, the bed comfortable and the view towards the ocean and mountains stunning. We liked as well a lot the bonfire and the exchange with the other guests and personal.

The hotel currently provides eight modern architect designed bungalows each with their own private terrace facing the sea. If the weather prevents you to be outside you can still enjoy the calming view of the sea through the floor to ceiling sliding doors.  If the weather is good then do enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace as the sun goes down. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

They don't have a restaurant on site as of yet, but about fifteen minutes away by car there are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and grocery shops.

Very welcoming and friendly staff always offer a hand and checking on us. Great at using the common place for all guests to get everyone socialising creating a relaxed environment to meet people on your travels.

Beautiful location and view right on the sea, bonfire at night, roomy bathtub, great quality TV, quality free coffee and herbal tea, privacy

The food situation—not having a kitchen onsite (though that might change in the future with the building of an addition); drove 20 minutes or so to a sister resort to get dinner takeaway but the restaurant was unexpectedly closed; there are gas barbecues available but the weather didn’t suit for us at least; breakfast of what is essentially instant cup of soup together with defrosted bread stuff just doesn’t cut it for a hotel of this quality

I can't recommend this place enough!! We rented a car and found this place really easily using google maps - it is still a bit out of the way so I wouldn't recommend using public transport. However the location is worth it! Absolutely breathtaking location with a room view overlooking the sea. It really is the perfect place to witness the sunsets in the evening. The room itself was wonderful with nice modern furnishings. The hosts are some of the nicest and most considerate people you'll meet. Ushi-san and Toshi-san made us feel right at home and we had a wonderful time chatting with them and getting to know them. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat and what to see. We were only there for two nights but in hindsight we wish we'd stayed for much longer and we were really sad to leave. If you go to the Amakusa region I highly recommend you stay here!!
