Beach House Kalukatiya - Family Villa, Seaview Room, Garden Room, Beach Cabana

Wow was an amazing place. We feel so lucky to have found it and can’t recommend it enough to anyone. Chamath was extremely helpful, always being on call when we needed anything. We also took a surf lesson from him and he was a great teacher. The dinners and breakfasts cooked by his mother were amazing..! We wanted to eat out more but nothing compared to the home cooked food here. The location is exceptional, truly paradise with the most friendly locals making you feel safe and appreciated to be apart of their community. We loved spending time talking to the children, swimming and teaching them to fish. If you want somewhere that is right on the beach with the roaring ocean at night then book here. It’s a little outside of town, but Chamath can arrange you a tuk tuk at any time from his friend who is very reliable. Thank you!!

Nothing! Some people might find the accommodation a bit basic but we loved it. A true beach hut!!

Lieu exceptionnel

Perfect location direct on a beatiful beach, very nice scenery and view. Terrace with comfortable seating and table. The owner is helpful in organising tuktuk to/from Dickbella and also a surfing lesson - he is even a surfing instructor himself!

The location is in a quiet village without other tourists, bars or restarant (only locals) - which fact we have liked a lot. But someone can miss it. The owner was able to order food local food from the neighbourhood for good price.

The owner is really helpful and helped guide us to some great beaches where the boys loved swimming with turtles. The location is great. Quiet beach with few locals and clean. We loved sitting out seeing the monkeys, fireflies, tortoises, lizards, and toads. Stars were incredible, too. The house is simple and reasonably maintained, with a great price

Availability and kindness of the host

Difficult to find if you drive yourself. Google maps does not seem to be able to locate it

Very cosy villa with kitchen inside. The patio is nice (with seaview) and had a comfortable loungechair en a bench. patio with seaview. Caretaker is very friendly and speaks good English. His mother and wife can make you dinner wich was delicious. Next to the villa are two rooms but you can't see each other when you are on the patio. The beach is beautiful and you have to share it with only some local people. If you like a quiet place then this is the place for you. Highly recommended!

Authentic experience living on the coast with locals near by. The owner was very helpful and kind. Great for long walks on the beach.

Very simple accommodation with basic bathroom.

It was well located with great hosts, the food that Chamat’s mom cooked is great.

The septic tank was overflowing and into the river, the rooms were mouldy and linen was not upto the mark.

There is only one thing i could say - if the booking scale was even up to 100 i would rate this place a 1000 You couldn't ask for better place, absolutely everything was jus perfect. We couldn't imagine better place to spend few days and we will definitely be back for much longer :)
