The Old Egg Shed

The old egg shed is such a lovely place, it’s so peaceful and relaxing, the photos do not do it justice in how well laid out and lovely it is. It has all facilities you need for cooking/cleaning. It’s in a great location for getting to places nearby. The secure patio area was great for our dog to be able to relax whilst we sat inside or in the hot tub and the welcome hamper was such a lovely touch and doggy stuff provided was great for if you had forgotten anything. The host was attentive and did a nice check in whilst we were there. The bed was so comfortable and made it hard to get up in the morning!

Nearest pubs if you did want to go to are either not in walking distance (it’s not a far drive if you want to pop in to one though) and they open quite late but this didn’t effect us as we enjoyed cooking and staying in the hot tub!

There needs a blind or something on roof window. The wall that separated the bedroom to the kitchen/front room wall could do with going all the way up with no gap

The property had everything I could need. It was clean, quiet and private. The hot tub was lovely and I was totally screened from view when using it, which I liked. The welcome drinks and nibbles were lovely too.

Although totally private, it is close to other lets, which I hadn’t expected. I had a lovely view of fields from the kitchen window but the outdoor seating and hot tub were overlooking a small lawn and the roof of another building. There were lots of trees about though and it still felt rural, just not quite what I expected. The other people staying nearby were very quiet though - I heard no noise from them or the adjoining property.

The property was outstanding. Absolutely everything we needed was provided. The bath robes and slippers were a bonus as was the cream tea welcome pack! The hosts were available had we needed anything but there was nothing we needed. It was just perfect.

There was nothing we didn’t like. Even the dogs were well catered for, with food bowls, dog towels etc all provided.
