2BR Apartment with Parking, Close to York Centre

The location was great and there was parking. The apartment was spacious and modern.

The property was dirty when we arrived and we had to clean it. The directions to find the lockbox were confusing. Some of the decor (bathrooms) and kitchen cupboards were in need of repair.

Convenient location, easy self-check-in, spacious living area, and quiet surroundings.

Nothing major. A few added touches (e.g., kitchen basics or a welcome guide) would enhance the experience.

Could do with another sofa in the lounge area

Very spacious, well equipped apartment, our stay there was great, I highly recommend it.

The location was good and it was easy to access the apartment with clear instructions. The host company were generally responsive on message before and during the stay.

The apartment was poorly cleaned on arrival and was in generally a mixed state throughout. Given the price we paid for this, it was most disappointing that we had to clean ourselves on arrival after a long journey. We reached out to the property management who acknowledged the issues and requested us to email this senior management with more information. Sadly, there was no follow up (at the time of writing) to this, even after I was promised a call from a manager. I strongly believe we should not have paid any fee towards cleaning from the total cost we paid, as it was very clear that the cleaning had either not been done, or done to a very very poor standard. It was (and is) really disappointing that the management team did not phone to address this matter and find a way to resolve. * Upon arrival it was clear the floor had not been cleaned, in any room. The floor in all areas was covered in crumbs and dirt, and even small plastic. * We attempted to use the vacuum cleaner to clean the floors, but this was ineffective as its was completely full, over full, and had no suction. It was very clear that this had not been emptied for some time - the type of accumulation of dirt in the vacuum bag would reflect weeks of build up. We ended up having to hand clear the floors to get the debris and clean the dirty marks. * There was a heavy smell of cigarettes throughout the living/kitchen area and one of the bedrooms. It was clear a previous occupant had been smoking and the cleaning had not removed this smell. * The dishwasher was still full of dishes upon arrival and there was a badly broken mug in the kitchen, that leaked as soon as it was filled with liquid. * In the bathroom/ensuite, there was visible mould on the bathroom light fixture and parts of the wall were exposed. * In the same bathroom, there was raised and sharp tile edges in the shower cubicle, which caused a minor scratch to one of us but could have been much worse for someone else or our baby.

Lovely apartment but not properly cleaned. Packets of empty crisps under the bed from previous guests. Great location, full kitchen facilities. Nice bath and shower rooms.

I am absolutely shocked and appalled with my stay and service at this hosts apartment. No water! on our first night resulting to us not showering or being able to wash or clean ourselves. Terrible responses and customer service asking me to go in to the boiler room and locate the water taps and fix the problem at midnight. Out of the 2 toilets one did not flush resulting in me and my colleague sharing a bathroom in the middle of the night. After sending video evidence and photos nobody came to fix the problem. The water was fixed by myself with help of YouTube! during our stay. A private fire inspection on the morning we were leaving! a lady walks in and says she is sorry and extremely uncomfortable to do this but she has been asked by the landlord to come in whilst the guest are there! we were unable to shower before we left to avoid being fined for staying over the check out time! upon leaving we find out they have no working fire alarms! with the fire inspector shocked and apologetic. Sent a formal complaint regarding everything above and was completely ignored. Numerous times asking for a number to discuss this on the phone as the emails back and forth are ignored or confusing as several different people are responding with a clean thread almost computerised responses. At this point I gave up and decided to write no review and put this terrible experience in the past. Days later I get a £100 parking ticket! from the private parking team that clearly watched me park up and waited for me to go up! (advertised as FREE PRIVATE PARKING on the booking). When arriving on the day We parked up and went straight to the apartment which takes around 3-5 minutes we saw a temporary car permit on the kitchen table that I was not told about by either booking.com or the host so I went back to place it on my car which from the moment I parked and came back down took around 10 minutes total. Host was contacted and replied saying they would not pay! stealing my money!

Cleaning could have been thorough, no clothes hanging poles, blankets fluffy and covering our hair and clothes. Getting water out of the tap was a huge problem.

The apartment was great space wise and the facilities were great, the kitchenette was useful and the sofa bed was also good to relax and watch television.

The apartment was clean but could have been a lot cleaner. The floor was particularly dirty, there were also crisp packets under one of the beds in the bedrooms. There was a mop bucket full of water left in the hallway. The cupboard underneath the sink was also dirty and the pipe under the sink actually started leaking. I also found it strange that the bathrooms didn’t have mirrors. The beds were comfortable but would have looked a lot more presentable if the bed linen was ironed. Some basics like teabags and kitchen roll in the kitchen would have also been nice. The fridge also doesn’t align with the wooden doors, everytime we opened the fridge we had to open the lower door also as this blocked the door from opening.
