Mapperton Barn House B&B Nr Stourhead & Longleat

The .location of the property was brilliant and the views amazing. Bed comfortable.

The owner had forgotten we were coming! The room was very tired and needs updating, no wardrobe to hang clothes. No television which I think most people would expect. Even though the room was very large there were no comfortable chairs to sit on. We couldn't control the heat of the shower. The kitchen area was not very clean, a really old dirty dish cloth, not enough cutlery or dishes/glasses. Breakfast was sparse, a few cereals and yogurt, bacon eggs and tomatoes provided. For the cost of the B&B thought selection could have been better..

We liked that it was a diy breakfast so weren't restricted to a specific time. We were also free to use the kitchenette area for making drinks and heating up food.

Breakfast provision was ok but if I had known that I would need to cook it myself before I booked I would have chosen another location/provider as I was hoping to have a couple of days away not having to cook at all.

Bathroom door is really creaky and difficult to shut and could do with sorting

The host was absolutely brilliant with me friendly and lovely person hardly recommend it

Friendly and welcoming staff, clean and comfortable room.

The views , the cleanliness, the hosts and how piecefull it was.

The bed was low and a bit uncomfortable so did have 100% sleep.

Absolutely fantastic, we were met on arrival, given a tour then left to ourselves, room was great with fantastic views. Very close to all our sites we chose to visit. Met the goat, the horse, the cat and the two dogs. Will definitely go again.
