Cozy Updated 2BR Apartment in DC

The only good thing I can say is there were no bugs & the sheets were clean

Terrible location, block parties every night involving car accidents & multiple police/ambulances/fire trucks. The locals told us the apartment across the street is THE highest crime rating in the entire city & that they would never go within 100 ft of that place. While we were there a hit & run took place at the intersection which left a person severely injured & totaled multiple cars. We’re only lucky ours wasn’t involved. Toaster doesn’t work, didn’t even try the coffee pot, there are no utensils in the kitchen. The peel & stick tiles in the kitchen are falling off. Holes in the wall behind bathroom door & in the front bedroom. The host charges a cleaning fee & obviously doesn’t hire a cleaning crew. The walls, behind the sink, cabinets, & appliance surfaces are filthy. The only cleaning supplies in the unit is a bottle of bleach, a broom, & dish soap. No wifi the entire time & data service is terrible -notified host and they told us they reset the router remotely but it didn’t change anything. The router is located in a different unit so we had to bother the neighbors to reboot it and that still didn’t help at all. The owner obviously doesn’t live there & was hard to get ahold of so we just went without internet for the weekend. No parking-false advertisement, there is only street parking on a very questionable street. The place is unsuitable for pets. The building next door has multiple very loud dogs that look like they are used for breeding. Between that and the grass being over a foot tall & the yard not being maintained at all, we couldn’t let our dogs out without driving to a park. We booked here because hotels are usually too small for our dogs, but there’s a hotel down the street for the same cost that would be leagues above this place
