Station Bay Lodges - The Retreat

Excellent house, modern, newly built, and nicely decorated. One of our favorite places we had stayed in our New Zealand trip. Had all the amenities we needed and great for our group. Own private beautiful lupin garden flowers behind the house. Nice view from the living room. Great location, very short walk to the lake and surrounding area.

Nothing to dislike about property We purposely booked this 4 bed room, 4 bathroom property (vs 3 bedroom one) to be able to spread out. On arrival we spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out where the 4th room was, whether we were in the right house and whether to enquire about it or not. On enquiry, we found that there was a separate loft room and were given the key later when we said we would like to use 4th room. The assumption was that we would not require a 4th room. This made for a somewhat awkward start for us. Our expectation would be that the loft key is provided from the outset to honour the booking, and then it would be our choice if we used all rooms or not.

Beautiful. Everything was superb. coming from a hospitality background, I left the place as we found it! We loved it :) Would definitely recommend staying here! Just bring food & all you need for your stay, Tekapo village does not deliver, catered for tourists.

All Perfect, I have nothing bad to say, the experience was a amazing. The views, walk up to the pools, all at your fingertips. Tekapo township itself doesn't offer much for the local holiday makers, restaurants average. So stock up before you arrive and just enjoy the atmosphere this delightful holiday home offers!! We loved it!! xxxx

Fantastic new designed house. Lovely warm atmosphere, clean and welcoming. Loved the coffee ☕️ pods - thanks. Felt safe. One request - another couch or 2x comfort chairs to relax in would be ideal.

Awesome place. Direct view to Lake Tekapo. Very bright with lots of natural lighting
