"Disappointing experience despite one helpful staff member"

3.0

I stayed here for 2 days during my visit to Lucknow. The only positive aspect was the person I was communicating with - he was polite, allowed early check-in, and even helped by keeping the gate open early morning for my run. I genuinely appreciate his support.

However, the overall experience was quite uncomfortable. Another person at the property (likely the owner) was consistently unwelcoming and came across as hostile. From the very first day, his behavior made it feel like guests were not truly welcome. The checkout process was particularly disappointing. The room inspection was carried out in an overly aggressive and distrustful manner, which felt unnecessary and disrespectful. While property checks are understandable, the approach lacked basic courtesy. I was also asked, in a rather rude tone, to carry my trash down to the ground floor myself - this included a few empty water bottles and some food waste that was already properly covered in plastic bags. If this is a rule, it should be communicated clearly in advance and conveyed politely - not imposed at checkout. Having stayed at 60+ properties across India over the past several months, this was one of the more uncomfortable experiences. There is definite room for improvement in how guests are treated.
