Near to NEC so short commute

Dog hair from previous tenant on floor, oven filthy, blinds and shower curtain broken, shower pressure is terrible with hardly any heat. Wheely bin in garden with 3 black bags of rubbish on top of it. No key for french doors to back garden (main reason for booking house instead of hotel for the dogs - Msgd the owner and no spare key and told me to bare with him but only here for 2 nights). Half empty bottles of toiletries left in bathroom. Out of date or half used food items in fridge. Bedding did not look clean. Not enough towels for 3 people and no dish towels. Living room TV does not load selected streaming programmes. We arrived late on Friday night after a 10hour drive so stayed as knackered but a hotel would of been far better value for money and cleaner. Paid £288 for 2 nights

The house had not been cleaned, nor had the beds been changed since the previous people using it. If we had not arrived so late, we would have booked into a hotel. I tried to leave a message for the host on our arrival (about 9pm) a few times, but it did not even go to answer phone. I am still awaiting an invoice from the host - however, I think a full refund is perfectly acceptable. It was embarrassing for me to have booked the place for my friends and to stay before going on hols early the next morning. I have emailed the host that evening, but have still had not reply.

Brilliant property all around with a responsive and prompt host who made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Complimentary chocolates were a brilliant touch as we had come off of a 3 hour car drive and our energy was depleted :)

A lovely end of terrace house in a residential area, nicely decorated and clean with a good sized garden which was handy for our dogs. Washing machine and fridge freezer available to use . Tv with Netflix , although we had problems logging in , eventually using our own but the host was helpful trying to help us use his log in. WiFi was good . The fridge was faulty but straight away the host got an engineer out as we had bought food we needed to refrigerate . Nothing was too much for him to help us with, he was very readily available. Quiet area with a Stonehouse carvery and drive through chip shop ( and lots of other foods) close by and only 25/30 minutes to the Bullring shopping . We didn’t go to the airport but saw signs so very close . A very enjoyable stay .

There was no storage in the bedrooms which we would have liked so we could unpack . Some drawers at least would be a big improvement . The mattresses are a little springy and probably due for an upgrade as they weren’t comfortable to sleep on in the twin room .

that the owners where very disrespectful when we was trying to de escalate a situation we didn’t want to happen. very dirty in the house we had to disinfect the whole house when we got there. carpets had loads of bits.
