On arrival the property was freezing cold. TV glitching unable to watch. No plugs for bath or sink. Tears in flooring and stair carpet marked.

"Wouldn't stay again under the same conditions"

4.0

It was a cheap apartment 15 minutes away from where we wanted to be. Parking was on the road around the corner, no dedicated parking. It had a kitchen, and washing machine. We barely used the kitchen, only used a few mugs and a cup, the fridge and kettle. Seemless and smooth entry using key safe box etc. The bed was relatively comfortable. The bathroom felt relatively new. Walls painted recently, but seems to have been a bit of a cheap job, lots of places where you can tell someone painted it on the cheap as paint is thin or brushed on half-heartedly. I can't seem to fault customer services of Pillo Rooms, relatively prompt in responding on booking.com. Dont bother trying to get a reply with the WhatsApp though

Firstly, like I mentioned, despite good customer service over booking.com there were so incredibly many flies all over the house. Smaller and larger pesky flies. Maybe fungal gnats. In the smaller bedroom, when I rolled the blinds down to keep the light out, you could see a bunch of dead insects in the blind that seem to have died whilst the blind was rolled up! Horrible and disgusting on many different levels. The flies were most abundant in the kitchen, maybe cause the bins don't close properly they've nested themselves in? Unsure. This made the kitchen relatively unusable, we kept ourselves outside of the properly for all matters apart from sleep. When looking at the kitchen and its relative level of cleanliness we found under the oven to be extremely dirty with crumbs which also suggests fungus and breeds flies. The carpet is extremely Extremely dirty and needs a wash or change. The living room table moves and wobbles, can barely put anything on it. Checkout instructions say: close all windows and turn heating off. Bathroom window was open when we arrived and so far up and away we couldn't close it. The heating also came on and we couldn't figure out how to close it. Additional instructions would've been useful. It may also be that the property is next to canal, so you get more insects around that? Unsure. Anyhow, customer service assured they'd get pest control going out and looking at the matter.

"I wouldn’t return with my family."

5.0

The location to Monton was good. There is a great chippy next door! Charlene was brilliant over WhatsApp. Really professional.

It was very tired. Good for a single male. Not suitable for a family. It was cob webby, shower door didn’t close so bathroom almost flooded with every shower, TV was connected to any sort of aerial, no tea towels or paper towels so keeping the kitchen clean was a challenge. Kitchen was stocked at all times I expected at least the basics like salt and pepper. Carpet was dirty up the stairs and landing. Bathroom was very tired and needs a refurb. There is a shelf above the bed which is hanging off with a giant screw coming out the top.

"For the price and size it was good"

7.0

The bed was comfy, the location great for exploring the outskirts of Manchester and the water pressure was fantastic in the shower. The rooms were spacious, the shampoo and soap provided much appreciated. The blinds did a good job blocking out the sunlight. The kitchen is well equipped for basic cooking.

The whole house was a little rough around the edges, with damaged floors, dirty outside area and holes in the wall. It could really do with a touch up to make it feel a little more loved. The parking situation was not as clear cut as suggested and ended up having to park a little walk away (about 400m). The traffic down the road was also quite busy so if you're not used to that it'll be loud!

"Never again. Black mold"

2.0

The location was close Barton aerodrome. Other than that the place itself was battered beyond belief.

The fact cleaning hadn't been done to a good standard walls have marks which look like food and the extraction unit above the cooker has dust grease and flies on it. There is damp and mold in almost every window and some of the walls as the paint is bubbling up and you can see white residue. This place should be priced at 70 quid a night tops and even then that's pushing it. Please go check my other reviews and places I've stayed if you think this is far fetched.

"Very poor"

2.0

We appreciated having our own home on our travels

The property had a lot of issues The garbage bins were over flowing when we entered the property and we had no where to put our rubbish. The shower head was attached poorly to the wall, which meant the bathroom flooded each time it was used. There was a lot of water damage as well as a puddle of water at the end of the bathtub when we first entered the property. There was broken cooking equipment and lacked basic supplies like dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, salt and pepper ect. There were holes in floor boards covered up by the couches and parts of the lower kitchen was falling apart. Very disappointed considering the price we paid.

"Comfortable house, very basic furnishings"

7.0

Comfortable warm property in the heart of Monton, near Worsley Park. About a 15 minute walk from Patricroft Station with trains to Deansgate taking about 15 minutes.

Very sparse furnishings. No bedside lamps for example. Just enough crockery and cutlery in the kitchen.

"Poor quality, expensive price - Will not be using Pillo Rooms again"

3.0

The majority of the rooms were clean. The facilities in the kitchen were OK.

Greeted by a broken front door. Entered the small hallway with missing wallpaper, mould and dirt on the wall and skirting boards. Some of the rooms are not maintained and are decorated poorly. Cracks in some of the walls, ceilings. The only wardrobe had no coat hangers. On the inventory it stated "2 bedside tables" in bedroom - there was only one. The glass shower screen is badly fitted so will not close meaning a wet floor on every shower. No vent in the bathroom meaning the blinds had suspected engrained mould. Full photo evidence if required.
