USthe keys to the apartment were in a lock box but getting into the main gate onto the property was confusing. there was no one to greet us and the instructions for ;punch key lock were not clear. Thank God the shuttle driver understood the instructions.
bed too hard. like sleeping on Mexican tiles. took a week to remedy. Chairs too low for the table and hard. Owner brought cushions which helped with hard seat but too low for table. There were 3 pots but no pot tops for cooking. When I asked Grisel said she didn't have any. A couple moved into the apartment downstairs within the same property courtyard. They had three dogs that barked non stop for hours. I tried to talk to the residents but they didn't answer the door so I texted Grisel. She said since they were not her dogs there was nothing she could do. She also advised me that dogs barking was natural. It was so bad we almost left but thank God those people left after 2 days. We thought water was included (we stayed three weeks) based on our was not included based on the description and the fact that the property is us a big hill and carrying water would be difficult. We were informed at the last minute that it was not. There was a lot of garbage piled up under the stairs and we had to ask to have it removed after 2 weeks
USOverall, I liked the location and amenities, very quiet street. I had a hard time getting in the main door and tried to contact the owner who never responded. But I was able to figure it out, thank God.
Responding to questions and issues is very important. It would have been helpful to know ahead of arriving, that there is a QR code for the internet.
USCharming little apartment in a quiet, yet walkable location in San Miguel centro. It had a well-stocked kitchen, bathroom necessities, and filtered water available. The shower had plenty of hot water and pretty good water pressure (not always the case in small Mexican towns). San Miguel can be pretty noisy in the historic center, but this place was tucked away on a much less trafficked street, so street noise wasn't an issue.
Without a doubt, the worst thing was the bed. It was hard as rock and we got horrible sleep the whole stay. Unfortunately, I also had serious issues with the host. I had booked this rental about 3 weeks in advance; however, a day before check-in, when I texted to confirm our arrival time, the host informed me that we could still come, but we have to check out a day early because someone else had booked Saturday night. That was the only reason for our trip, as my friend was getting married that day. It put us in a panic and she only decided to move the other renter (who booked from another platform) after she realized we had, in fact, made this booking long before they did. Additionally, while having issues finding the rental at check-in, I sent my location asking if we were close, only to have her say, "I already sent you check-in instructions." We had followed them but were lost. Very unprofessional all around.
