Ambleside Manor - Vegetarian B&B

Quiet location close to the centre of Ambleside, staff very friendly and helpful, excellent breakfast with daily changing freshly prepared specials in a very atmospheric breakfast room

Rooms could use a renovation

Room 4 was bigger than expected, there was an entry room with wardrobe and a seating area, then a door leading to the separate bedroom. I parked my car at the back close to the patio. This room has its own entrance there. I loved the view into the garden from the bed. Breakfast was brought to my room on request, a real luxury. It was all very private and comfortable.

On 2 occasions housekeeping or reception tried to enter my room while I was still in it. I felt they should knock a longer and make sure nobody is in the room, before opening it with a key. I was undressed and about to take a shower. Luckily I locked it well from the inside.

Location & property lovely.

The breakfast choice was limited.

if there was a tea /coffee station in Lounge instead of carrying it down from bedroom to sit and enjoy with friends

I loved all the details used in the decor of this lovely manor house. I also appreciated the written and verbal instructions at breakfast, I didn't have to wonder what to do.
