Ocean Forest Villa

The housekeeper was very kind and did a great job! We really appreciated all of his hard work to keep us comfortable and the property so neat and tidy. The villa is located up the hill from the main stretch of Uluwatu, but well within walking distance and bikes are easy to get to make it even easier. The benefit of this is that you’re away from the noisy streets at night and being up on the hill, the property gets an unreal view for sunset. There was a bit of construction around, but the property was quite well sound-proofed, so it didn’t affect us at all. The property manager was responsive and very helpful. Overall, it’s a great place to stay, with an awesome view.

Everything exceeded our expectations....the villa management team were brilliant

Our stay at Ocean Forest Villa, Uluwatu, was an absolute nightmare. Upon arriving, we found the villa locked with no one available to let us in. After waiting outside for 10 minutes, the caretaker, Joni, finally opened the door, visibly surprised by our arrival. To our shock, the villa was not prepared for check-in—three out of four rooms were dirty, the kitchens were a mess, trash was left everywhere, and the pool area was unclean. We spent hours waiting for the staff to clean the villa, missing our pre-booked sunset dinner at Malini, which was incredibly disappointing. When I contacted the villa manager, Hana, her response was dismissive. She tried to downplay the situation, falsely claiming that only one room needed cleaning, and offered nothing but a basket of fruit as compensation. The entire first evening of our trip was ruined, and this gesture felt completely inadequate. The next disaster struck when the villa began experiencing constant power outages. Every 10-15 minutes, the electricity would cut out, leaving us in the dark for hours. Each time, we had to manually reset the circuit breaker outside. This continued through the night and well into the next day, completely disrupting our plans. To make things worse, only two of the villa’s rooms had hot water, making it even more uncomfortable. Despite contacting Hana multiple times, the issue persisted, and her responses remained unprofessional. At one point, she even tried to blame us, claiming we were using "too many devices," which was absurd for a villa meant to accommodate nine people. To add to the frustration, when I finally spoke to the villa owner, Mrs. Johana, she refused my request for a partial refund, despite the fact that we couldn’t use the villa for hours on the first day. After long negotiations, she reluctantly agreed to refund us based on the number of hours the villa was unusable, but this was far less than we deserved given the frustration and discomfort we experienced.

I loved the villa's fantastic amenities, especially the basketball court and pool, which provided endless entertainment for the whole family. The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to local attractions. The people taking care of the house were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

There was nothing I didn't like; everything about the villa was perfect, from the amenities to the location.

The location is very close to popular restaurants and beaches, and we still can enjoy the peaceful beautiful open views in every room at the villa. The villa well designed allow us to have our own relax spaces and also area to hang out together. The staffs are very friendly and helpful to get what we need, villa is very clean . Never see any villa that has skate park & basketball courts..huge pool , we have so much fun !!
