Riad Babel au coeur de la Médina

Don’t let the area scare you at first glance. A bit hard to find but ones you’ve been there, you will fall in love with the place! :)

Lovely spot in a great location made special by the attention of Idris and team who made us feel like family and took care of every detail. Would recommend.

Everything! We felt really welcome there.

The Riad was in a great location. Close to many sights and places of interest. Admittedly the walk from where we were dropped off was a little unnerving in the dark but we were met by the lovely Driss who runs the Riad and he assured us that the area was safe. We saw no trouble and the locals were extremely friendly and we soon got used to walking it on our own. The Riad itself is a little oasis. Beautifully decorated and extremely clean and comfortable. Anina who also works there made us feel so welcome and provided us each day with a delicious breakfast. Both Driss and Anina are the main reasons I’ve scored this Riad so high. They could not do enough for us over the duration of the holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. They are an enormous asset of this delightful Riad 😌

We had an incredible time at Riad Babel! The location is perfect — just a short walk to the Medina. While the vibrant energy of the Medina is right at your doorstep, once you step inside, the Riad feels like a serene and beautiful sanctuary. Amina and Idriss were fantastic! They were warm, friendly, and so helpful. It was a true pleasure meeting them. Each morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast of fresh Moroccan baked goods, fruits, teas, and coffees. While we missed out on Amina's iconic homemade tagines (something we’re definitely looking forward to on our next visit!), the hospitality more than made up for it. Idriss, our host, was superb — he offered great recommendations, arranged all of our transport, and was always available to help with anything we needed. Babel itself was stunning. The modern and unique design, the peaceful atmosphere, and the spotless spaces — especially the lovely rooftop — made it an ideal place to relax. We highly recommend staying here, and we can't wait to come back (hopefully soon)!

Beautifully decorated, great sized riad. The staff Idriss and Amina are absolutely wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble. Great location, quiet neighbour but very close to lovely restaurants, shops, cafes and hammams nearby. We originally booked with another riad and that was terrible so booked Riad Babel last minute who were so flexible about everything. Rushing around we didn't really have time for lunch, Amina whipped us up a last minute delicious meal, it was a bit pricey but very very good.

Only a small item but good to be aware of, the riad is in charge of payment so we ended up paying around £23 more than the advertised amount due to different conversion rates which is not a lot and the riad is well worth it but was surprised when we were leaving. Don't let this put you off, it's just good to know.
