Dar El Karam Fez

I would like to recommend Dar El Karam Fez. The apartment is located almost in the very center of the medina, making it easy to reach the most important landmarks, restaurants, and shops. The place we stayed in was neat, clean, and well-maintained. Additionally, for a fee of 6 euros per person, we could enjoy a generous breakfast every day, made from fresh and natural ingredients. It is also worth mentioning the owner, who was extremely kind and helpful. He was the one who helped us book a tour with one of the best guides we have ever had (he even wanted to take my mother-in-law – another plus!). Overall, I highly recommend it – you won’t be disappointed!

The flat is beautiful and spacious and has access to a great roof terrace with amazing view over the city and mountains in the distance. Its a great location in the medina with walking distance to everything. Very nice breakfast. Younes was simply the best host one can imagine! He was very helpful in every way, very knowledgable and can organize guided city tour, vist to hamam, and so forth. Its one of the best places we have stayed! Strongly reccomend it!

Good location, kind host

Thanks so much to Younes, he was a great host. We really enjoyed our stay in Fes, the accommodation was in an excellent location and the facilities were just what we needed for our small family.

Furnished in traditional way, beautiful view and close to mosques. The property was clean and well looked after.

NOTHING AT ALL

The property refused to hand us over the keys of the apartment because they required us to be MARRIED. They mistreated us under severe racial profiling ( my friend has Berber origins) and we were thrown into the street at 21pm although we had paid 2 nights in advance. Never in my life have I been treated like this. This was not only illegal but extremely shameful & humiliating as a human to be treated like this and we felt both terrified.

Nice location, kind of quite place

Hard to get here, scammers in the town who want to "help" you to guide you to the place and then they beg for money, not working air conditioner (it was blowing hot air for 3 mins and then cold), cold apartment, no hot or warm water at all, host didn't help us with the hot water and the air conditoner

The location, it’s in the medina, but not far from the street. The view, both from the apartment and the terrace, is fantastic. Use of the kitchen is very convenient.

It was a winter trip and, in spite of what was declared in the description, there was no heating, or not sufficient to cover the apartment area.

A partment is absolute 10 of 10. Although we didnt fall in love with Fez city itself but those 2nights in Dar El Karam was absolutely the best place we stayed in during our three week trip through Morocco. Lovely stay: Clean, well cared and loved, ohhhh..and that loooovely terrace!!! We didnt miss anything! Thank you!

No bad words about apartment itself - its fantastic!!!! But I would recommend to arrive to Fez at daylight hours because Fez at dark hours is really scary. Google Maps didnt manage to take us to place, lost signal in narrow streets and on our way a bunch of insisting "helpers" in the streets made an arrival with quite an adrenaline;) Organic maps saved us, fuuuf! We didnt go out much in the city, haha, but apartment was a perfect, romantic escape from Fez itself:))
