La Casa De Dalia

Beautiful area and lovely owner

The beds were not the comfiest and the wifi/signal wasnt great

the kind host who drove us all the way to the port even we arrived very late the night before

We were really excited to stay in La Casa De Dalia due the excellent online reviews and description of the accommodation & surroundings, hence our high expectations. Unfortunately we were met with disappointment and fear. The back door of the room was off it’s hinges and could not properly lock therefore our security was immediately compromised and our anxiety levels raised, as it was extremely unsafe for anyone to stay in, no mind two young girls. Unfortunately the front door wasn't much better, to our amazement the door was practically like a wooden bedroom door. The location of the property was extremely remote - the opposite of the description advertised.  No taxis passed by the guesthouse making it impossible to go anywhere. There was no restaurants nearby and only one small shop about 15 minutes away on a road which is quite busy and dangerous to walk on. The closest beach to us was about 20 minutes away and was also not what we expected at all - to be honest it was like sludge. The property was not one bit close to what we were promised, from an unsafe room (doors, no safe and location) as well as the room amenities did not reflect the pictures advertised.  In addition to all of this, there was many bugs in the room and under the bed, and many ants outside on the back patio area which meant many came into the room as the door was never able to fully close. We voiced our concerns immediately to Booking.com within the first 30minutes of arrival and they contacted the owners for us. We were assured that we have no concerns. However, this made us more concerned. We were refused any compensation even though we only stayed one night out of the six we had originally booked & paid for in good faith. We felt our security & well being was comprised, as well as being dupped thru false advertising. This is unfair and unprofessional as these were genuine safety concerns, for two young girls . Our  concerns were completely ignored and dismissed.
