Hotel Misión Santa Ma "Cataviña"

We have stayed at this hotel many times and always have been happy with the cleanliness and service.

1. During periods of the day the electricity is turned off and doesn't come on until 4pm so if you arrive early it can be a very hot wait. The hotel should put something about this on their website. This has happened before and usually the staff mention it on check in but this time they didn't so I was a little frustrated when we got to the room and found no power or water. 2. What really upset us on this visit is there was a party with very loud music going on in the central courtyard (all the rooms surround the courtyard). At 11pm I went to the desk and ask if this was going to go on all night and the response I got was "is there music?" which is absurd because you could obviously hear it from the desk. The desk assistant said she would speak to them, and while the music was lowered a little there was still very loud voices and partying. At 12:30am I went out again to the desk and this time the assistant came back with me to the people. Again they turned the music down but were still out there until 1:30am. As we had to leave at 6am I was more than angry and frustrated. There normally is a quiet time in hotels such as 10pm to 6am, and it is really unfair on other guests especially as all the rooms surround the courtyard.

Beautiful desert garden and peaceful area. Rooms were comfortable and quiet.

The rooms could use a bit of maintenance. Chipped tiles, fresh paint and new linens.

We love this property and have stayed at it numerous times to break up a long trip. The rooms are great, very clean, and the staff are very helpful. It is pet friendly too.

Not much I can say negative about Mision Santa Maria - each time we know what to expect and are never disappointed.
