Hotel Misión Santa Ma "Cataviña"

The location in the middle of Baja is great. Lots to see around the area. Our stay to be fair was during Baja 500 pre running and the weather was windy and cold.

The Hotel restaurant was a bit lacking on this evening.

Waiter added a 15% tip to the bill without asking. I had already put a 20% tip on the table. If I hadn't looked at the credit card receipt he would have received a 35% tip. Service was good but not that good!

Beautiful hotel and surrounding area. Very relaxing.

We got there just before 2:00 pm. We hadn't had lunch and knew that there was a restaurant there so we waited to get there for lunch. The entire motel and restaurant shuts down the generator from 2 to 4 every day. The restaurant was closed and all electricity was off. We figured that the restaurant would reopen when the electricity came back on. It came back at about 4:30 and we found that it wasn't open for dinner. There is a fairly good restaurant across the street with a small but good menu. We walked back in total darkness. The motel should warn people ahead of time that the restaurant they offer isn't open for dinner and that uses electricity nothing works between 2 and 4 or later.

Nice, comfortable room. Hot water.

Restaurant was closed on Tuesday when we got there. For a hotel of this caliber, there was no shampoo.

Cataviña area is a magical place. The Hotel is nice and I would stay here again. It is the only good option in town.

It needs a rennovation.

It is exceptional for where it is. Beautiful area, but very remote. One does not expect this good a place at this price in such a remote setting.

Poor customer service. They gave me a regular room. Not the suite that I paid for.

Did not give me the suite. Gave me a standard room.
