The view from the apartment was fabulous,

We stayed in Alicante for 3 nights before travelling to this air bnb in Calpe. After speaking with the tourist office in Alicante were advised to take a bus. The subway took ages and the sto was ages away from the apartment. We packed up and went to get the bus, the bus did not come and we were stranded so we had to take a taxi. The taxi cost us 90 euro which was not in our budget. When we contacted the host to explain the situation we thought we could meet them at the property as we had a lot of luggage and it was so hot it wasn't easy to walk from their office. They insisted we had to come to the office to pick up the keys. This was annoying, also the check-in and check-out times were not good, we had to check out at 10 am on the last day. When I asked if there were any extra towels (as we were staying 4 nights ) I was told we could buy the use of an extra towel but would have to collect it at their office - not very helpful and very opportunistic. During our stay, we had issues with the shower being blocked and we both had electric shocks from the inside of the dishwasher. We contacted the host immediately and they arranged for a plumber to call out to check which they did organise that day, however, I chose not to use the dishwasher. Also we thought it was a bit mean, there was no extra 'disposable items' i.e kitchen roll, toilet roll, there was 1 washing tablet provided and 1 dishwasher table provided, as we booked 4 nights this was not enough, so a bit inconvenient. Especially considering they wanted to charge us 10 pounds for using an extra towel.
