Sultan Sands Island Resort & Spa

We had a wonderful week here. Our bungalow had a sea view, and it was very convenient to have the beach right in front of us.

The driver of our privately booked tours was not allowed onto the hotel premises by the security company, so we always had to walk up a steep road to meet him. Fortunately, the taxi to and from the airport was allowed in, so we didn’t have to carry our suitcases out.

It was a cozy getaway after long travels. The staff were very accommodating. There was fun entertainment in the evening.

It’s a bit pricey for what I received. Granted, it’s an all-inclusive and I’m not much of a drinker (that was part of the included perks).

The staff were excellent, the location is stunning with a private beach and a beachfront swimming pool. Food was good. The a la carte restaurant does a brilliant curry.

Ein wirklich wunderschön gelegenes Resort direkt am traumhaften Strand von Kiwengwa. Die Location ist top, das gesamte Areal ist sehr gepflegt, und man merkt sofort: Sauberkeit wird hier großgeschrieben. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam, allen voran Kevin, der Hotelmanager, der sich täglich persönlich erkundigt, ob alles zur Zufriedenheit ist – eine tolle Geste, die in Erinnerung bleibt. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und sauber. Das Essen ist hervorragend – besonders zu empfehlen ist das indische Spezialitätenrestaurant. Danke für das Candlelight-Dinner direkt am Strand – einfach traumhaft. Auch der Strand ist wunderschön, wobei es hier, typisch für die Ostküste Sansibars, zu spürbarer Ebbe und Flut kommt. Gerade bei Ebbe lohnt sich eine Wattwanderung mit den Massai – sehr empfehlenswert und ein besonderes Erlebnis.

Es könnten die Duschen renoviert werden – sie sind funktional, aber ziemlich verkalkt.

a very beautiful hotel with a very kind and welcoming staff! It was a perfect holiday. Food is amazing from breakfast to dinner. The beach is affected by high and low tide - low tide was in the morning so we could swim in the ocean in the afternoon. For us perfect because we are no morning persons. Room and the hotel were very clean. You cam find a lot of animals in the hotel area from small cute lizards to bushbabys. Like a little zoo. My husband got a little problem with his stomache and the manager Kevin and the hoteldoctor helped him immediately. Thank you Kevin and the whole team for this wonderful holiday!
