Great location, very kind host, clean and comfortable apartment.

Everything was great.

This property is a perfect home away from home! Our host picked us up at the train station and oriented us about traveling to Cilento and Amalfi. She generously provided us with a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom supplies and all the small touches that show a caring host. The washing machine was a practical benefit and the partial sea view with beautiful bougainvillea was a bonus as was the flat’s central location. We have stayed in lots of moderately priced short term rentals in Europe and Casa de Stella exceeds them all!

It was in the lively but lovely old town up on the hill near Duomo - via vierni station a one stop hop on the local service into the centre so quite well situated . There are many historical and artistic places to visit not least the cathedral and especially the parts of it you can visit for a small fee. The appt feels like a home and that makes it very comfortable . There is a balcony to the rear overlooking other blocks (the vast majority of Accom in the old town is in appt blocks) and is nice to sit on at any time of day as mostly sheltered from the sun and has an awning for privacy . The view from the bedroom includes the adjacent cathedral is rather nice with distant view of the sea and the port a great one to wake up to . A wide range of crockery , cutlery glasses and cups etc suited our purposes well. Oven hob and mini oven grill and a very large fridge made it easy to self cater …but if not there are a wide range of bars , pizza places and restaurants not far away among the glorious old buildings of the old town . The air con in the bedroom was a godsend as temps in June reached 30 and above . The beds including a useful sofa bed are comfortable . The WiFi is best in the bedroom if you need to stream stuff and overall very useful . The bathroom is lovely with a great shower. The switch for the hot water is on the wall in the kitchen and provides plenty of hot water Whilst ok for us ( we are both around 70yrs old ) I would advise it’s on the second floor via stairs and also the walk up/down to the sea is hilly . However the walk to the town beach by the harbour is very worthwhile (in June it only gets crowded at weekends ) and it’s about 30 mins walk to the Concordia harbour where the majority of the Amalfi coast ferries go from) the host gave us a taxi number and we booked online (as it’s loads in browser choose translation ) they were always on time which made our more critical journeys easy .

We stayed in 5 appartments during our summer in Italy / Sicily. Casa di Stella was by far the best equiped in every aspect. Maria kindly picked us up from the station and drove us to the apartment. Everything you could wish for was there for you. It was exceptional.

Clean, welcoming and comfortable. Good Kitchen with full size fridge and dining table. Also has a washing machine which was very handy.

No elevator, a bit far from city centre and port.

The host was excellent, great communication and was collected from train station and shown around the property. I have done a lot of travelling and this has never happened, so a big thank you to Maria's daughter. Location was great, quiet at night, near all the amenities and local shops, as well as 10/15 min walk to train station and sea front. We loved Salerno and will definitely use this property again.

Casa di stella is a lovely appartment that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was in a secure complex and within easier walking distance to the ferries, trains and buses. Lots of cafes and resturants near by and a small supermarken across the road from the entry. We really enjoyed our stay in the appartment and town.

There was nothing we didn't like.

Our host was very helpful and kind, offering to meet us at the station. great communication at all times. Apartment was in a great location for restaurants, old town, shops and beach. The apartment was super clean, spacious, well equipped, great facilities, teas and coffees supplied. The bed was so comfortable, a great nights sleep. Lovely hot water in the shower. We loved the balcony, having breakfast in the morning watching the sun rise. Views from the bedroom window. Air con was much appreciated. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Our hostess met us at the ferry terminal and drove us to the property. She explained everything in a delightful manner. There was a supply of breakfast foods and coffee. We were within easy walking distance of the old city.
