Sombra Villa by Kozystay - Sanur

Our contact Annisa was very helpful. The pool was good and clean. We hired the Chef to cater one breakfast and one banquet. Both were very nice. This is a hard Villa to review. Things that were good, were very good. However, the list of bad things was longer than I expected, and were so bad it spoiled the stay there.

Sewerage all over the floor of every bathroom because the septic tank overflowed. Could not use any of the toilets for over 12 hours, or stomach the smell through out all the bedrooms. When I complained that the episode prevented using the Villa, I was offered free late check out. I asked for a refund for the half day we couldn't use the Villa, the answer was a flat No. My idea on the septic system maintenance is to pump out before it floods inside the Villa. Apologies are great, but prevention is always better than cure. The biggest lounge in the lounge area was broken with the cushions collapsed in, and unusable. The wall that all the bedrooms share with the neighbours has a Rooster on the other side that starts crowing at 5.30am. It sounds like it is inside the bathroom, and there's no sleeping through it. That is not the fault of the Villa, but I mentioned it because it caused quite the annoyance. Sombra Villa is well outside the central hub of Sanur.

Anissa the villa manager is beyond amazing. Super accommodating, extremely helpful, nothing was ever an issue. Absolutely loved this villa. The pool is their best feature and is to die for.

The neighbours dogs bark a fair bit and I wish there were mattress toppers for comfort as the beds were a little hard for us- but for context we are use to a plush mattress at home and they can’t obviously please everyone.

Ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Die Villa liegt sehr außerhalb. Fußläufig ist da nix erreichbar.

это хорошая вилла за свои деньги. Ничего сверхественного, но прям все в ней добротно и нормально. Великолепный стафф, для которого «придти и поправить что-то сегодня», действительно означает сегодня. Что редко на бали.

Great size,rooms were good, plenty of storage and the bathrooms were lovely. We enjoyed our family Xmas and the in house chef was amazing.

It is located on the wrong side of the Jl bypass, which made it more difficult to go out, if you are ok on scooters this would not be a problem but for older people it meant longer trips. Maybe it could be serviced every second day rather than third.

We stayed at this villa as a group of 7 and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The property felt like a peaceful oasis – quiet, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The villa had everything we needed for a relaxing and easy stay, with great amenities and plenty of space for the whole group. Communication with the host was excellent throughout – very responsive and helpful. Although the villa isn't in the main tourist area, it was easy and quick to get a taxi. There are also some great local cafés and restaurants within walking distance for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – a lovely bonus we didn’t expect. Highly recommend for groups or families looking for comfort and a touch of tranquility!
