City Explorer - 704

We recently stayed in City Explorer, Room 704, located in The Onyx Hotel, and managed by a private property management agency. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and provided all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The central location of The Onyx Hotel made it convenient for getting around the city, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and key attractions. The check-in process was smooth, and the overall service from the property management agency was professional and efficient. Guests should be aware that the property management agency charges an additional R600 for cleaning and R200 for a towel change, which are not included in the base price. There is also a R2,000 damage deposit required at check-in. These costs should be factored in when budgeting for the stay. Otherwise, we had no issues, and our overall experience was pleasant and hassle-free.

We enjoyed our stay, it was awesome in all respects. I wish it could be my all-time home away from home.

It's not necessary to mention, but the cleaning chemical was a little too strong for my liking, and the scent was somewhat overbearing. I had to open the windows and leave for a while, but I could remedy it with my scented candle.

Having 1 key for the apartment. And having to wake up people to come fetch you with the lift.

The security guys was so rude to us on arrival, instructed us to call the host and get the keys ourselves. After he saw messages from the host then he proceeded to rudely assist us. Let my husband outside lift when he was going get our bags... Wuuu that man was bitter and angry You get charged a R1000 for cleaning and then when you arrive you get told you need to pay for cleaning the R1000 only covers departure not during your stay. A 2 bedroom cleaning for a R1000?
