Whatever Art B&B

Carlos is an excellent host. He is incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive. The back terrace is a great place to have a coffee in the morning, and the location is close but not too close to the very touristic areas.

Maybe the prices went up, but I thought it was too expensive for our room (the smallest room, two double beds). I also wish that sheets were newer, and I wish the kitchen was cleaner.

The representative was polite, but all the other disadvantages of this place, such as dirt, bad smell, unsanitary conditions, outweighed any politeness. We asked to cancel our reservation after the first night. But the owner’s greed did not allow this to happen. As a result, we had to run away from this place to a cleaner one. Moreover, no one returned the money to us.

A terrible smell is what you will encounter when you step inside. After this, you will be surprised by the dirty state of the bathtub, which is scary to enter without shoes. Dust, street noise until late at night and early in the morning, psychedelic paintings and decorations. In general, if you want to get a good night's sleep and recover after a busy day, this is not the place to go. Because within an hour, being in a small room, you will begin to feel a lack of oxygen, and the smell of antiquity, a remedy for cockroaches and sweat, will be absorbed into you throughout the night.

The b&b Is great, with a perfect location close to the metro. Carlos is the best host ever. Always kind and ready for a chat, he gave me great suggestions on what to do in Lisbon. He also lent me a sun umbrella for my day at the ocean. I highly recommend staying at his b&b, I'll surely be back in my next visit to Lisbon

A unique accommodation option with an eclectic mix of design touches mixed with diverse art pieces in a property that has delightful indoor and outdoor spaces for the guests. Small but pleasant bedroom in an historic building very close to transport and shopping options. Friendly and helpful host.

We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. The place is carefully decorated and it was nice to come back and have a cup of tea or coffee available to guests.

Loved the original art and decor. It was like stepping into an artist's studio.

The room was lovely with access to the common garden, but at night with the doors closed it was close. No windows opened. The second night we asked for a fan. Carlos graciously provided one.

A delightful space filled with architecture and art. Quiet yet in the city with very easy transport and walking options. The Host Carlos has created a space that is both Art Gallery and resting space at the same time. He offered itinerary help and ideas and supplied a very safe feeling base for our first trip to Portugal.

The wild cats that visit the garden wouldn’t allow us to pet them:) Very selfish!

Our host was excellent, he went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable! He gave us lots of local recommendations for things to see/do, places to eat and even wrote down bus and train line numbers for us to make it super easy to get around.

The location is ok, close to Metro. The house has nice garden, also the fridge is useful. The owner Carlos was kind and helped us with city public traffic and early morning taxi.

The room is small, shared bathroom was no problem.
