Stylish Duplex 5 min from centre

Location very good

Very stylish, lots of space, exceptionally responsive and helpful hosts

Bright sunny large window in top floor. Lounge was comfortable Washing machine. Kitchen and facilities. Iron and ironing board Reasonably close to High Bridge (across to city centre) Good TV reception. Wi fi good

Lower floor was under ground. As a result there was poor lighting downstairs. External building Door entry required input which included pushing "enter" key but "enter" key was not identified on the panel. After walking between possible door entry points we found one that showed where "enter" key was. Near this door was a lift to lower level. To allow air into lower level corridors a large partially open partition was at our end of the building. Unfortunately, approx 50 metres from that partition was a train line. While the building was sound proofed it wasn't fully sound proof, such that we heard background noise from every train using the Queen Elizabeth bridge and adjacent rail tunnel. Stairs from door entry was steep and long (2 building levels). The locking system for the unit door was difficult and we needed to seek information about how it worked. No fresh air is possible in the unit. Air extractor was on 24/7. Entry instructions were segmented requiring moving between two emails sent at different times. The method of deduction of Bond money advised in email (i.e. they would take it out of the account) changed to requiring me to complete a deduction form, which could not be done due to poor data reception as I drove across the country. The bed in the upstairs bedroom was soft and didn't support one's back well enough. Quite a solid uphill walk from High bridge into Newcastle centre. The bright sunny large window had no means of providing privacy - the upstairs lounge area was on full display to outside.

The Duplex was amazing and exactly how it looked on the photos. Great location for getting about. Very secure area. Any contact we had with the owners were answered straight away and helpful. Will definitely be staying again if I'm in the area.

The beds were a bit soft but that's really personal preference.

Great property gorgeous furniture etc

Nice stylish layout and easy to access the City Centre. Great for a weekend stay I would say. The place was really clean.

Check in process was quite long winded with forms to fill in and emails etc. To access. however lady did talk me through accessing the property and was accessible by phone quickly to help. Whilst OK I would have preferred a bit better bed.

Great area with a cracking view

The location was very good. It was warm and clean and spacious.

We had a short term break from Friday to Monday. From Friday to Monday unable to open the windows to let air in, advised owners on Saturday that window key didn't work but it wasn't rectified before we left. No fire evac procedures in apartment. No shampoo/ shower soap on arrival, this was rectified on Saturday after contacting owners. No bread knife and no plug in upstairs basin in ensuite, advised owners on Saturday but they didn't rectify the problem. No mention of noise from trains which passed very close to apartment between 7am and 12 pm.
