White Orchid Cave House & Studio

Perfect location in Pyrgos, very convenient. Pyrgos ideally located in Santorin, both remote and call, authentic, close to many places in Santorin (with a car). Very caring owner. We préfèred the Studio on 1st floor with great View, to the cave which is very well decorated but no natural light but entry door.

It was lovely for the 2 off us, cute- cosy except at night when the temperature dropped. It was equipped with everything you would need for a short break and it's located in the heart of pyrgos. But to get here in a taxi from the airport €36 and ferry port €40 Loocal travel by bus is €2

House keeping. We had to get someone to come back with bedding for the sofa bed as only the double bed was made up. I'm sure I mentioned I was travelling with my daughter (26) but maybe not. Also towels, we arrived Sat, the house keeper came Tuesday, I said just towels. No,no I come back later. But when we got back no one had been. Same Wednesday we went out sure thar someone would be there today but No. We could have called Fay but as it was late both evenings we didn't want to. Yes so only complaint. Lack of clean towels

Fay is incredibly helpful and nice! I'd been worried about transfer and getting lost in Pyrgos, but with her on WhatsApp 24/7 my check-in and stay went seamlessly. The studio has a wonderful view on a church, local cafe and the sea. It's clean and cozy, I really appreciated coffee and water provided after a long flight. Recommend White Orchid for solo travelers or young couples (you have to climb some stairs to get to the facility, like almost everywhere in Pyrgos).

Location was great. The apartment was centrally located in the center of Pyrgos. Close by were several nice restaurants and a nice sunset spot. The owner was very helpful.

Our stay at the White Orchid Cave House could not have been better! Our host, Fay, was exceptional and did a lot of extra work helping us arrange taxis all throughout our stay and giving us great recommendations in the area. They also own a cute shop down by the beach with great clothes and products that you should check out! Pyrgos was quiet and beautiful, there were great restaurants and small shops to explore. There was a nice restaurant right outside our door that we could hear instrumental music coming from into the evening, and a great souvlaki place 15ft away that always made us hungry. The house itself was absolutely adorable, and we would 100% visit again in the future and recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Santorini looking to stay away from the crowds.

We didn't realize that the dehumidifier was full our first night, but once we realized we needed to empty it regularly the atmosphere was much better! You are staying on a island after all, there is going to be humidity. :) We weren't prepared for the amount of reliance we'd have on taxis or buses staying in Pyrgos, but it was a minor inconvenience that Fay helped us navigate expertly!
