Hazelhurst - close to Bewl Water, Ticehurst

Comfortable seating and beds with good shower and reasonable cooking facilities. Walks close to the property to Bewel Water. Good base for visiting nearby attractions. Local pub in walking distance and good food. Nice little outside seating area.

Single track road to it with passing places but we never met anyone on it. Easy to find with Google Maps but road not shown on car satnav.

The peace and quiet and a short stroll from Bewl Water

If booking for a Monday or Tuesday be aware that some local pubs or restaurants do not serve food or are not open until Wednesday. Though we managed to drive to The Vineyard Pub which was lovely.Tuesday we ate at The Bull which we walked to from Hazelhurst House ..beautiful traditional pub ..would advise booking a table though as was busy !. Hosts at property are so helpful and informative about the local area ! Would definitely stay again

Nice situation. No breakfast in the deal. Some tight lanes and a bit tricky to find. Value for money good. Not far from two very good pubs, one of which was possibly the best pub I had ever been in. That was the Bell at Ticehurst. Village of Wadhurst has cafes. Some great churches. Went to a couple of National Trust properties. There were sporty things to do if you like them and good walks. We were grateful for the two beds because it is difficult to find that on offer. Lovely bed linen.

Shower a bit snug for tall people.

Beautiful cosy studio apartment up some steps with its own little terrace. It’s in the owners large garden but you have enough privacy. The owner met us and he was lovely and very helpful. It’s very comfortable and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Really nicely furnished. It’s a short walkable distance to Bewl Water. Would recommend for a quiet country stay. About ten steps up to the apartment. Please check if you have mobility issues that this is ok for you.

Great hospitality, very well equipped room, amazingly comfortable bed, unbelievably quiet place which helped us have a perfect sleep. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay.

Lovely studio accommodation in a very quiet location within walking distance of Bewl Water. Airy, spacious, modern & well equipped. Comfortable beds and close to local pubs & shop.

The bathroom was quite small.

Extremely friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome. Barn was very clean and had everything we needed. Comfortable bed. Provided with a welcome pack which was a nice touch. In a good position for what we wanted to see and do. Many thanks to Nona and Peter

The property was in a beautiful peaceful location and was well equipped and very comfortable. A home from home. We loved being able to walk out to the very pretty Bewl Water, and the nearby pub was only a short walk away. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and we would definitely stay again.
