"A clean, cosy flat in a great location for exploring Bicester, Oxford, and Silverstone. It had everything we needed and"

6.0

The property was in a great location perfect for visits to the Diddly Squat farm shop farmers dog and then further up north to Silverstone and close to shops and pubs all within a 10 minute car journey . You couldn’t really walk from outside the property as it was based on the main road.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but there were a few issues during my stay. There was a strong, unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which unfortunately put me off using the shower. The place itself was clean and had enough towels, but there were also some flies, particularly in the bathroom. In the twin room, one mattress was in poor condition — it sagged heavily in the middle, making it very uncomfortable. My 10-year-old ended up sharing my bed instead. Replacing that mattress and addressing the bathroom odour would make a big difference to the experience. Not sure if the Diamond Park is part of the flat itself, but the listing described a games room. When my children and I went to explore, it was unused and very different from the photos — a shame, as it could have been a great space for the kids to enjoy.

"Perfect base and 1st holiday for our dog"

10.0

Wonderful communication, spotlessly clean, loved the bowls that were left for our dog to use lovely touch! Was like home from home! The no fuss check in was also great! Bed was comfy everything we needed!

Not at all a fault of the business as it clearly states a quite period 10pm till 7am but the people that I assume arrived late next door made a fair bit of noise gone midnight which was a little annoying as we travelled with our dog we were awake trying to keep him calm and settled so he didnt bark at the amount of noise they were creating.

"Two people slept ok but the two in the small windowless room didn’t ."

6.0

Property was clean and everything you need was there.

Single beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever attempted to sleep in, so didn’t sleep well at all . The mattresses needs replacing as they are past there use by date. This bedroom also has no windows which lacked ventilation. There is also a wasp nest at the front door in the bottom of the post which the lock box is situated. We were unable to have front door open to let some much needed air through property in the hot weather.

"Great staff, accommodation and location"

10.0

Owners were very supportive and friendly throughout our stay, even answering my emails late at night when we had questions. Couldn't ask for better.

The only issue was the shower not being too powerful, and due to the shape of the bath, it was a bit difficult to stand under the shower.

"An excellent site within easy distance of several tourist locations."

9.0

The location is great, not only within the local area, but the actual farm itself felt very safe. It was very easy to collect the keys, the property is clean and tidy, and perfect as a jumping-off spot for various things to do locally. The hot water bottles were a nice touch, as it was really cold for June! Great to have a play space for younger children on-site, too, although it's a bit of a trick to find it. Coffee machine with pods was much appreciated, as was the info on places to eat, supermarkets and takeaways.

The bath is very high off the ground, and my elderly mother did not feel safe stepping out of it. It would be easy to install a grab-bar to make this safer. Likewise, the shower is positioned in such a way that you have to stand with your feet on the sloped bit of the bath to get under the water. Not safe for anyone. Of course one could simply have a bath but this would be easy to fix with a bit of extended pipe to ensure the shower head came out far enough from the wall over the bath. Other than that the facilities are great.
