Room has no view at all. Room was not worth the money.

I have travelled to perhaps over 29 countries, this hotel had absolutely the BEST view EVER and best location to my objective in Rishikesh. A majestic overview of the Ganges from where I sit - its like a slice of heaven coming into my window. They serve amazing food - and they serve it right to my room, and I have breakfast with the sun shining on my face, watching the Ganges sparkle and dance, with the magnificent mountains at the background. The trees frame my window and birds chirp. Honestly, I cannot believe my luck that I bagged this hotel on my first trip to Rishikesh. Gaurav takes care of concierge in the morning and speaks great English and he goes out of his way to ensure we have what we need. Prashant tales care of the place in the evenings and is very obliging. They are both always there and their hospitality is unrivalled. I have stayed in places like Marriot, Ritz Carlton, but this little place, Meeram Gangga, beats them all for service, food, value for money and the omg omg omg The View Of The Ganges . At night you eat dinner from your room and watch the music, dancing and spirituality of the Ganges worship - the Gangga Aarti , with the uplifting songs and flames, and the structured rhythmic movements of the young Brahmin boys who do the puja. Its just a 5 minute walk to the Triveni Ghat where the Gangga Aarti is done and thats a whole new wonderful place to experience. The flutes played, the drums, the cows lounging around, the friendly stray dogs that follow you, the crowd that worship by the Ganges, just wonderful warmth all around. I took a dip at Ma Gangga and it was just a quick walk back and a few minutes in front of the heater at the room made it all better. Make sure you visit the Vishnu temple in front of the Triveni Ghat, the priest was friendly and helpful and even put garlands on us - we felt so blessed. Rishikesh Market is next door, so handy! If you want to experience the beauty and blessings of Ma Gangga, stay at the Meeram Gangga.
