"Warm and cosy tiny house for our New Years trip"

10.0

Exactly as pictured. Gorgeous interior and so cosy in a fantastic location. Plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Fully equipped kitchen which was extremely clean. It did rain when we were there and we returned from a hike muddy so was useful to have access to a hoover and sweeping brush to tidy around after ourselves. The bed was comfortable and we were warm the whole time as it had speedy central heating. The bathroom was very modern and quite spacious for a smaller property. Loved it!

"Central and comfortable"

10.0

Very central location, clear directions provided for getting to the property. Quiet and had everything I needed. Cosy and warm and handy to have an enclosed back garden, as I travelled with my dogs.

There is an additional charge for pets, which wasn't a problem, as this was communicated clearly and well in advance, but I am mentioning to make people aware.

"Pleasant place if a bit small. Not suitable for small dogs. Pricey."

6.0

The look of the place and location. Good for a 1-2 day short stay if your small sized couple.

I knew it was small but for the price I expected it to feel a bit more spacious. It felt a little bit cramped, especially as we had two small dogs, but can imagine this space would be fine for a couple only. It's definately not suitable if you have small dogs as stairs are wooden and open slatted so smaller defo need to be carried upstairs - a bit of a hazard for small dogs - as they are both hesitant to use the stairs and the slats are quite open so risk of them falling through especially as the steps are wood. The space upstairs is tight - with two small dog beds most of the floor space was more or less taken up. Also no door for the stairs upstairs so risk of dogs quite easily slipping through. There was also an extra fee requested initially for dogs - but this was waived for us as it was not mentioned in the details at time of booking. I do feel it was very pricey for what it is. And comparatively I may have been better booking a spacious hotel room at lower cost. Even though the apartment was very clean - the back garden needs a proper clean - a lot of algae / birds feathers and a little slippery. It just wasn't a space that felt the most comfortable for us when considering cost / and suitability with dogs.

"Great cottage ideally located for a Kendal visit."

8.0

Cute cottage in a perfect location for visiting Kendal.

The downstairs couch wasn’t comfortable but other than that a fantastic place.
