Taunoa House - Family seaside house in Papeete with HS Wifi

Good grocery for breakfast supplies nearby.

Lack of inside dining arrangement....had to improvise.

The property was perfect for what we needed and I would recommend Gaèlle our host to everyone.She went above and beyond her job. This property is tucked away in the countryside of Papeete .A car is very helpful if it can be arranged.Acess to the salt water ocean off the deck and dining on the patios were perfect for us .

The property had a beautiful outlook and convenient location. The outdoor area was fantastic. The home was big enough for 6 people with 2 bathrooms and generous living area. It had a nice feel to it. Having a laundry and well equipped kitchen was convenient. The beds were comfortable. Loved the little touches like condiments, laundry soap, mosquito coils, tea and coffee available. The Chinese restaurant next door was excellent and the local supermarkets were a short walk.

The shower had been overlooked by the cleaners for sometime and we needed to clean it first to use it. The air conditioning in the lounge area and bedroom closest to the kitchen didn’t work. They just blew warm air despite attempting to adjust multiple settings. Being summer it was quite hot.

Beautiful backyard and patios. Good value. Not right in town, but easily walkable.

The air conditioner in the living room didn’t cool the room and it was very uncomfortable in the afternoon. Bedroom a/c worked well, though. Host was late meeting us at the home and our taxi driver kept driving past. It is tricky to find - even for locals. Needs a better recommendation book with addresses of restaurants and markets. Needs a bus schedule.

Tahiti VIP Services are great - and villa was nice enough with beautiful yard right on the water. Area is a little bit funny, but nearby Pizza takeaway was great. 15 minute walk to bars and better restaurants.

Location was fantastic being waterfront and being able to walk into Papeete

The host who met us treated us like family. What a gem! We had a lovely calm stay. The place is huge and the view is stunning. Amazing Chinese restaurant next door with the best food! The facilitates were great, loved having a washing machine and dryer on site. We felt very safe and it was an easy drive to and from the airport.

There is a warning about mosquitos... don't take it lightly. As you are close to the water, they are present. Use bug spray, close the doors at night and you will be fine.
