"Once top quality guesthouse now down on it's heels. Worth a visit but don't pay up front"

It's an old guest house which was obviously once the best in town. Now a little run down but still has great views over the river. The bathroom in our (downstairs) room was fantastic - even if we were sharing with a centipede :-) Bed was comfy and we had a private balcony. Azemour in general was a great place to visit - and it should be on every travellers itinerary. The citadel is more intimate than the one in El Jadida and there are many good walks to be had in the town - a slice of true Moroccan life.

I paid up front via Booking.com, but the manager claimed that the establishment was cash only. I ended up paying twice - he said that he would cancel the payment - which he subsequently did. It's worth booking this place, but make sure you don't pay up front. The breakfast was vast - but mostly different types of bread!
