Exceeded my expectations of a hostel. The mattress was great. And so was the shower. The kitchen facilities had everything you needed. Maria was warm welcoming and full of information.

A very warm welcome from Marie. Hostel was very clean and fully equipped kitchen/dining room and bedroom. Marie was very friendly and gave us lots of advice on where to go. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Helmsdale Lodge, which is more of a cozy retreat than a hostel. Marie made us fèl so welcome and the room and en suite were spotless and warm. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

My room was comfortable, the communal areas were fantastic, and everything was spotlessly clean. Marie, the warden, is exceptionally thoughtful, and did everything possible to make me feel at home.
