Chambray Estate - The Terraces in the Vines

This place is absolutely beautiful and met all my expectations. It looks and feels luxurious. The manager and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The estate is clean, well looked after, and the mountain views are amazing. Breakfast was delicious and nicely served. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need. I loved that each unit has its own sunbeds, no need to fight over them with other guests. I really appreciated the small details, like the umbrellas in each unit. The estate is safe, tidy, and just 5 minutes from shops and other places.

Nothing at all. Only a small suggestion, not a complaint, would be to add a cigarette butt bin in the parking area where smoking is allowed.

Beautiful room and facilities

I liked everything. Very well designed with the windows that show a different view of the mountains. Garden was well cared for. Marieete (sp!) was so sweet and caring. Lovely place.

On my first night, i was greeted by a bright flashlight on my face when walking around the garden, and a security guard asked who i was because his alarm went off! I found the chairs in the room rather uncomfortable to use. I couldnt get a comfy place to set up laptop and write in my room, so stayed on the verandah most of the working day. The gardener cleared up my sun chair before check out time and left a mess outside my front view. Very odd, the African men here.

Location, a little outside of the town but easy to travel to and forth, beautiful and peaceful. Just what we wanted.

The location was beautiful and the room was amazing with incredible attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious. Staff incredibly friendly

Can't think of anything we didn't like

The property is situated in a quiet and spectacularly scenic location. The facilities are excellent and Mariette and the staff are fantastic. A definite return visit!

The rooms are beautiful with lovely linen and finishings. The location was good - in a quiet little corner of Franschhoek. The breakfasts were particularly delicious.

Nothing - we had a lovely stay.
