Apartamento Ancla II Old town & Playa Chica

The apartment was central to everything in old town pubs, shops, restaurants and the beach. Fantastic little place. Bathroom and kitchen has just been renovated.

The mattress was not comfortable. I feel the springs through the mattress.

No aircon, although I later found out you can hire them. Rooms were very hot, even with the fan on at night. Had balcony doors open for some air. The noise was too much for me. It could go on until 3am and start again at 6am from deliveries. Had no water one night, but that's life I guess. Id certainly stay here again knowing you can hire aircon. But my preference would be having a pool. I did miss that.

Great location, very comfortable apartment. My flight was delayed, so the flexibility that the lock box provided was good.

Air conditioning would have been a welcome addition, but it was great to have the stand alone fan in the bedroom.

The apartment was clean and central, very close to the port and its restaurants. It was well-furnished.

The apartment has very restrictive check in and check out times. To arrange for an early check in/late check out, you are charged a fee (e.g. late check out is the cost of one extra night). Even then, early check in turned out to merely be a 'bag drop' inside the building communal staircase instead of access to the clean flat in which to shower and unpack. Normal check in is at 4pm, so clearly inconvenient for anyone not on a late flight in. It was also IMPOSSIBLE to sleep, with very loud music and vibrations from the bars and clubs nearby EACH night for the full week I was there well untill 4-5 in the morning. Please note I live in the city centre of a very large city in the UK so I am not new to noise from bars or drunken people. But this is on a completely different scale. I even bought earplugs and still could not sleep all week. One afternoon I came back (full of sand from the beach) to discover there was no running water at all (it was off from 2pm till they reinstated it after 9pm that night). This is something that affected the whole neighbourhood, but in over a dozens stays in Lanzarote this had never happened to me before. As the businesses nearby had a back up water tank, this made me think the problem might be more frequent than a one off in this neighbourhood. I would not stay in this flat again and I would not recommend it.

Margarita met us at apartment. A lovely lady who was very helpful. Great location and a perfect apartment for a couple. We will be back . Thank you 👏
